Mafichoni Academy - Productising Capability Building

Mafichoni Limited (own platform)

The Challenge

Facilitated training reaches only as many people as a consultant's calendar allows, and bills once. The Strategic Plan 2026-2030 asks this practice for 25,000 learners trained and 10,000 paid enrolments by 2030, from a baseline of zero - neither is reachable one workshop at a time.

Our Approach

Built the Academy as a product rather than a course list: 29 published courses arranged into 6 structured pathways, from public-sector digital literacy through to policy analysis, built out as 74 modules and 209 lessons with 273 assessment questions, progress tracking and certificates of completion. Payment runs on M-Pesa and card so enrolment does not depend on holding a card. 8 of the 29 courses are free, which keeps the inclusion commitment from resting on ability to pay.

The Outcome

The platform is live and in pilot: 29 courses published and enrolments open, with 10 enrolments taken and no certificates issued yet. That is the real starting line, and the plan measures from it - 10,000 paid enrolments and 25,000 learners trained by 2030, with a 40% women share of learners.
