Of Kenya's roughly eight million households, only about 100,000 have access to a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service. Closing that gap is less about content and more about the underlying technology platform.

Streaming providers need platforms that support demographic targeting, so content and advertising can be tailored to who is actually watching. Accurate metadata is just as critical — without it, viewers cannot search for or discover programs, and providers cannot properly measure and analyse audiences across the growing range of devices people use to watch.

Managing multiple sources of content and adverts, while keeping integration and information consistent across platforms, is a significant technical challenge. Providers need a reputable technology partner who can handle that complexity while helping them move quickly, customise their service, and tailor the interface for each client.
